A Sonic Love Letter to the Diaspora
The Black-Tastic Experience began with a simple idea:
I wanted to create a love letter to us.
To Black people. To our joy, our style, our traditions, our rhythms, our creativity, and all the beautiful ways Africa continues to show up in who we are across the Diaspora.
We may have landed in different places. Our cultures have evolved in different ways. Our music doesn’t all sound the same, our food doesn’t all taste the same, and our traditions don’t all look the same. But the root is still there.
The Black-Tastic Experience celebrates that connection—not by flattening our differences, but by reveling in them. This is what happens when many places, countless cultures and generations of creativity remain in conversation with one another.
